With talech Mobile you can manage your payment, taxes, service charges, and more. Below you will find an overview of your talech Mobile settings, highlighting their functions to allow you to set your business up for success.

Preferences
Default view
Choose the default view you wish to see when you sign into to talech. This can be the dashboard or straight to the register.
Register view
Choose whether you would like to see your menu/catalog or if you don’t have any items in your store you can select a keypad to key in items manually. Don't worry, no matter your default selection, you can switch between your menu and keypad at any time from the register screen.
When you select keypad, you will see the keypad page on log in. From here, you can key in the amount you wish to charge your customer with no need for the Menu items. You can always switch back to a menu view at any point.

Payments
Default payment type
You can set the default payment type that will prompt when processing a transaction and even set the debit transaction behavior.
Signature requirements
You can enable or disable a signature prompt or set a threshold amount that will require the signature.

Card readers
Connect your card reader
You can easily connect your selected reader by placing it into pairing mode and adding the device using the + icon.

Taxes
talech Mobile allows you to create and add taxes to your products with ease. You can create applied, inclusive, or flat rate taxes and apply them to your products with just a few taps.
| Note: For talech Mobile Europe, tax is referred to as VAT in the app. |
- To add a tax, tap on the + icon.
- Next, enter your Tax/VAT name, so you can find it later
- Choose whether to Add Tax/VAT to Item Price or Include Tax/VAT in Item Price.
- Enter the tax rate %.
| Note: For talech Mobile Europe, Include VAT in item Price is selected by default when creating a new VAT. |
- If you want to create a flat-rate tax, select Add Tax/VAT to Item Price, select a $ amount instead of % and you can apply a flat fee to any order.
- To add your tax to products, select Categories and choose the relevant categories from the list, you can choose all, some, or even just one category. Once you have done this, you are ready to go.

Invoices
With talech Mobile, you can create and manage invoices directly from your phone. You can then accept full or even partial payments against those invoices.
| Note: Invoices are a feature currently only available in North America. |
From the Invoices settings, you can:
- Set your invoice numbers
- Choose whether to take online payments
- When to accept online payments and if you want to allow partial payments

Service charges
With talech Mobile you can create and add Service charges to your orders.
- To create a service charge, select the + icon.
- Next, give your service charge a name, choose the rate in either $ or %, and apply any taxes that are required for your service charge. Click here to see how to set up your taxes Creating a Tax Rate on the talech Register.

Tips
- Toggle Enable Tipping on to enable tips for when your customers think you deserve a little extra.
- Toggle Display Suggested Tips on to enable suggested tips for when you want to give a little hint.
- Set the suggested tips at custom amounts in either $ or % and set a default value.
