The Poynt 5 is a small handheld device that can function as a POS or as a card reader in conjunction with an iPad. It runs on a modified Android operating system.
Before starting
- Ensure that your Poynt 5 is fully charged.
- Ensure that you have a Wi-Fi network that you can connect to.
Unpack your Poynt 5
- Make sure that the Poynt device is charged. You can connect the provided USB-C cable into the bottom of the Poynt to charge it if needed.
- Power on your Poynt 5 device by holding up on the Power slider for 3-6 seconds.

- Connect to Wi-Fi once the Poynt is powered on. You can connect to your Wi-Fi
by pulling down from the top of the screen, then pulling down again until you can see the options for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Cellular, Settings, and Power Save. - Select Wi-Fi.
- Tap your Wi-Fi name and then enter the Wi-Fi password
- Select Connect.
Once the Poynt is connected to your Wi-Fi, you can select the talech Register app icon to sign in and begin using the system.
