This article will show you how to enable Cash Drawer Management in the talech Register app.
Cash Drawer Management must be enabled to accurately track all cash transactions.
If it is not enabled, there will be no data in the Cash Drawer reports on talech.com for you to view. If you need assistance in getting this set up, please follow the below steps or Contact Us - talech Support Options.
How to Set up Cash Drawer Management
- Log in to talech Register as an Admin. From the Dashboard, select Back Office > Settings > Cash Drawer (in the left column).
- Enable Cash Drawer Management.
- Tap the + button in the top right create a new drawer (Cash Drawer1 is listed by default, but you can change the name). Then hit the Save button.
- Select the drawer you wish to assign to the iPad you're currently signed in to (e.g., If you're logged into the iPad at Register 2, make sure "Register 2" cash drawer is your assigned Cash Drawer. If your store has multiple Cash Drawers that will need to be managed by talech, each drawer must have a unique name in the Cash Drawer Management settings screen).
- Tap on the + button to add a new Drawer for each additional station you are installing. If multiple iPads are assigned to the same Cash Drawer, the reports can become confusing since more than one iPad's cash sales will be recorded in the same drawer.
