View the Sales Summary report
- Log in to talech.com.
- Select Reports from the left navigation menu.
- Select the Sales Summary report from the list of prepared reports.
- By default, the report displays real-time data for the current day grouped by hour in the top chart. You can adjust the following fields on the report:
- Date range: Select the date dropdown to select from a pre-set range, a specific date, or select a custom range of dates. You can view up to 2 years of data grouped at the daily level and 10 years of data grouped at the yearly level.
- Grouped by: Select the dropdown to segment the data over the given time period by Hour, Day, Month, or Year.
- Metric: Select from the available sales metrics to change what data is plotted on the chart.
Once you have selected your date range and other metrics, the chart and data table update.
View revenue and receipts
To view your store’s revenue and receipts, use the chart to see these metrics individually or use the data table to view these metrics together for comparison.
In the chart
- In the metric dropdown, select either Revenue, Net Revenue or Orders.
- Revenue: Displays the gross revenue for the date range.
- Net Revenue: Displays the revenue collected for the date range. This is calculated based on gross revenue minus discounts, loyalty and refunds.
- Order: Displays the total number of orders for the date range.
- Change the Grouped by dropdown as needed. This is how your data points will plot on the chart over the date range.
- Hour (only available for date ranges of single day or week)
- Day
- Month
- Year
In the example below, we’re looking at a custom 3-month date range of revenue grouped by day. If we wanted to see the receipts for this same date range, we would change the Metric dropdown to Orders.
In the data table
The data table displays several columns by default, but you can edit which columns are shown to see your revenue and receipts together.
- Select the Columns button to the top right of the data table.
- Ensure that Orders, Net Revenue, and Revenue are all checked.
- The totals for all columns appear at the top of the table in the first row. From here you can compare your different sales metrics over the date range selected.
In the example below, we’re looking at a custom 3-month date range grouped by day. The Revenue, Net Revenue and Orders can be compared together in the table.
