Tips and customer signature on the CFD  

Enable customers to tip and sign from the external CFD from the register settings: 

  1. From your dashboard, select Back Office > Settings > General.  
  2. Scroll down to Signature And Tips.  
  3. Select Customer Signature.

Additional display options for the CFD   

There are various options for what you can display on the CFD. The next few sections will show you how to customize these settings.  

  1. To get to the CFD options, on talech Register go to Back Office > Settings > General.  
  2. Select Customer Facing Display.  
  3. From here you can access the following options for the CFD:  
  • Display a custom image or your logo (when not in use during a transaction)  
  • Display a custom message with or without your logo (when not in use during a transaction)  
  • Change display mode between light and dark  

Custom image or logo  

  1. Go to Back Office > Settings > General > Customer Facing Display.  
  2. Under Splash Screen, select Image. Your uploaded logo or custom image appears and displays on the CFD when not processing a transaction.  
Note: You must first upload your images on talech.com to select them here. Follow the steps below for steps on how to do this.  

Display custom text on the CFD  

  1. Go to Back Office > Settings > General > Customer Facing Display.  
  2. In the Message field, type your custom message.  
  3. Select Save. 
  4. If you want your logo to display with your custom message, toggle Display logo on.  
    Note: You must first upload your logo on talech.com to select it here. Follow the steps below for steps on how to do this.  

    Change display mode to light or dark   

    Switch between light or dark mode for the CFD. If you don’t have an image, logo, or custom text displaying on the screen, the CFD will have a static white or black screen depending on which display mode you select.  

    1. Go to Back Office > Settings > General > Customer Facing Display.  
    2. Under Preferences, select your preferred display mode of the CFD.  
    • Light: The background of the screen is white.  
    • Dark: The background of the screen is black.   

    Upload a custom image or your logo for use on the CFD   

    To use a custom image or your logo on the CFD, you first need to upload the images on talech.com. You can add or edit a custom image by following the steps in this article: Upload a Logo and Banners to talech.com.  

     

    Note:The Business Logo is also used on the microsite and any emails you send.
