These guides cover talech Register and related POS equipment. Paytura is your merchant services partner; talech provides the register software and device support referenced in these articles.
You can add the option for an on-site install to your account during the sign-up process, specifically through your sales application. This means a third party will come to your location and set up your hardware for you.
| Note: This does not include training, building your menu, or setting up your software |

FAQ
Before your installation
To make sure that your business is set up for success with the on-site install there are a few things you can check.
Internet Connection
Check your internet connection: is it stable and does it meet talech requirements, such as supporting multiple devices?
Please read talech Network Requirements and Recommendations If your connection does not meet requirements, contact your internet service provider to review your options. |
Cables
It is preferred for devices to be hard-wired. Does the location you want to install your Register have Cat5e or Cat6 ports to connect to the network?
These ports are for ethernet cords and look like traditional landline phone ports. There should be one per device. |
Wi-Fi
If your devices use Wi-Fi, ensure that your register location is no further than 30 feet away from a line of sight to an Access Point.
Please note: Access Points should not be placed near any device that emits EMI (Electromagnetic Interference). This includes TVs, radios, speakers, neon lights, and refrigerators. If an EMI device is near an Access Point, it can significantly affect the quality of the signal. |
Power
Each non-battery-powered device must have access to a power outlet. If there is not adequate power, a power strip must be used.
Countertop
All countertop construction must take place before the register is installed.
Devices
Please ensure that all devices are fully charged for a seamless installation process.

During your installation
Installation is scheduled with a third-party vendor. You must be at your business location during installation. Please be on time to avoid delays or cancellations.
It is recommended to test your hardware while the installation tech is onsite:
Be prepared to test your peripherals (scanners, printers, cash drawers, etc.) and ensure you have a card with you to run a test transaction. Testing before your tech leaves prevents subsequent visits and can prevent multiple install appointments.
Come prepared with specific questions directly related to your business needs.
If you experience any issues during the installation, you can get in contact with talech via installs@talech.com.
After your installation
After your installation, you can get used to your new hardware by trying out some transactions and checking out all your new talech features.
If you have selected an assisted Onboarding path, you can wait until your Success call in which your Onboarding specialist will talk you through the features and how you can make the most of your new talech system.
If there are any issues with the installation, you can get in contact with talech via installs@talech.com.
