This article will provide troubleshooting steps for the Poynt C when a SIM card is having issues connecting to the LTE/Wireless network.  

SIM card connection issues 

If the merchant is using a SIM card with their Poynt C but is not receiving LTE/wireless connection, follow these steps to setup/configure the APN.  

  1. On the Poynt C, swipe down two times.  
  2. Briefly press and hold Mobile data.

  1. Select Advanced.

  1. Select Access Poynt Names.

  1. Select the + sign.

 
APN settings.
 
 
  1. Select Name.

 
Edit access point.
 
 
  1. Type the name. Select OK. ATT Direct 4G is the one mainly used.

  1. Select APN.

  1. Type the APN. Select OKusbcelavon.com.attz is the one mainly used.

  1. The screen displays as shown below. Scroll down and verify the MCC is set to 310 and MNC is set to 170. Add this information if missing.

  1. Select the three dots in the upper-right corner.
  2. Select Save.

  1. Select the dot next to ATT DIRECT 4G or the APN that was just added.

  1. Reboot the terminal.
    1. Hold down the button on the bottom of the terminal for a couple of seconds.
    2. Select Restart that displays on the screen.

  1. After terminal reboot, you will see a wireless signal bar in the upper-right with an x Poynt home screen.in it.

  1. Select the dot next to ATT DIRECT 4G.

 
Restart button from side settings.
 
 
  1. Reboot the terminal.
    1. Hold down the button on the bottom of the terminal for a couple of seconds.
    2. Select Restart that displays on the screen.

  1. LTE and the wireless indicator will show in the upper right-hand corner Poynt home screen..  

Note: It may take a few mins for the wireless connection to show.
