This article will show you how to check the balance or reload a gift card online via your online ordering site or via talech Register in your store.

Reload and check the balance of a digital gift card online

To reload a gift card, the customizable option must be enabled on the digital storefronts settings - click here to learn more about How to Set Up Digital Gift Cards.

Your customer checks balance and reloads from your online website

  1. Your customer goes to your talech website and selects Gift Cards > Check Balance in the top right corner.

  1. Your customer enters the gift card number and selects the Check Balance button.

  1. Your customer then sees a screen that presents them with their current balance. This screen also allows your customer to resend a digital copy of the gift card or reload the gift card with a specific amount.

Check the balance or view transactions from talech.com

You can check the balance or view the transactions for any digital gift card from your account in talech.com. You can’t reload a digital gift card from talech.com. The customer has to use your online website to reload.

  1. Log in to talech.com.
  2. Navigate to Items > Issued Gift Cards.

  1. Select a gift card to open the details.
  2. You can see the available balance at the top left and the transaction history below. For more details on actions available with digital gift cards, see article Resend, Deactivate, or Repurpose Gift Cards.

Reload and check the balance of a gift card in store

Your customer may come to the register and want to add more credit to their Gift Card, this can be easily managed in the back office of talech Register.

  1. Log in to the talech Register and select Back Office.
  2. Select Gift Cards.

  1. From here you can add an amount, check the balance of the gift card, or activate a gift card. If you have bar codes on your gift cards, you can scan the bar code - if not, you can enter the gift card number.
